Who can purchase through Contracting Services Contracts?
The benefits of SCCB Contracts are open to organisations registered with Contracting Services which can include:
- Government Trading Authorities
- Public Sector Agencies of the Commonwealth or any other State or Territory Agencies
- Local Government Bodies
- Schools, Colleges and Universities – public or private
- Hospitals – public or private
- Other approved users such as community-based non-profit organisations or charities.
How to purchase from contract
Purchases for contracted goods and services are made directly from suppliers. Once a product or service has been selected through smartbuy, contact the supplier to place an official order.
The following information should be included when placing an order:
- Contact name and number
- Item number
- Your name and address
- The supplier's name and address
- Your customer registration number
- The date of order, delivery address and date and time of delivery
- Item, product code, contract price, quantity and any accessories included.
The customer registration number needs to be quoted each time a Contracting Services contract is used so that identification as a registered buyer can be made and benefits of the contract can be obtained.
Registration with Contracting Services is free. If your organisation is not yet registered or you are unsure of registration status, contact the Client Information Unit on (02) 9372 7791 or download and return the registration form applicable to your organisation.

Current Approved Contractors are listed in smartbuy. If you do not have access to smartbuy®, information can be found in the User Guides or by calling Contracting Services Information Centre (02) 9372 7791.
